“Rodin / Arp” is on view at Fondation Beyeler through May 16. The exhibition puts artists Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) and Hans Arp (1886-1966) in dialogue for the first time. The sculptural works on view show the clear impact and influence Rodin had on Arp, linking the 19th-century to the 20th. Approximately 110 works are on view in the show, including monumental sculpture, reliefs, drawings, and collages. Of note are well-known pieces like Rodin’s Think and Kiss, and Arp’s Ptolemy and Torso.
