Sabine Weiss: A Photographer’s Life

Sabine Weiss’ “A Photographer’s Life” is on view at the 52nd Les Rencontres d’Arles photography festival, through September 26, 2021.

The exhibition showcases Switzerland born photographer Weiss’ collection of works. Describing herself as a photographer-artisan and a witness, the 96-year-old has built a photographic monument with free and independent spirit. “A Photographer’s Life” highlights her main body of work that captures sympathy with human beings, as well as the photographer’s illustration, fashion, advertising, portraits and personal work. The show reflects Weiss’ life-long passion and expression with a selection of images, films, and documents, to showcase Weiss’ challenges and travels with photography.
