On February 27 in Los Angeles, the fifth edition of Spring/Break Art Show sparks vibrant exploration and introspection within Culver City’s Arts District by way of more than 60 presentations on display through March 3. “INT./EXT.” is the cinematic theme underpinning this year’s fair, provoking curators, artists, and visitors to embark on a scenic journey from the pastoral to the metropolitan, and from the privately spiritual to the vast metaphysical. A vivacious lineup of programming, including experiential performances, debut installations, and multi-disciplinary works give center stage to today’s cutting-edge visionaries.
Continuing its virtuous mission of providing free exhibition space for emerging and mid-career creatives, the Los Angeles and New York City-based show is steered by discerning curators. For the third year in a row, Spring/Break dazzles at the avant-garde 1940’s warehouse space. During this edition, actress and musician Vicky Krieps, known for her work in films Phantom Thread (2017) and Corsage (2022), unveils musical recordings and performance within a multifaceted installation alongside painter Stephanos Rokos, musician Mark Perkins, and photographer Anna Krieps.
