The Depths

The fourth edition in a program of guest-curated video exhibitions, “The Depths” will occupy Locust Projects’ Screening Room with a two-part video series curated by the filmmaker and artist Beatriz Santiago Muñoz. From November 19 to December 23, 2021, the first installation will include Sofía Gallisá Muriente’s Asimilar y Destruir (Assimilate and Destroy I) and The Lake and the Lake by Sindhu Thirumalaisamy, which looks at the toxicity of Bangalore’s Bellandur Lake. And from January 5 to February 5, 2022, part two will feature Isabelle Carbonell’s The Blessed Assurance, Colectivo Los Ingrávidos’s Coyolxauhqui, and the film work Bocamina/Pithole from Miguel Hilari, which presents a dialogue surrounding workers mining silver ore in Bolivia’s Cerro Rico.
