For her new exhibition “The middle is blue” at the Palais de Tokyo, Ulla Von Brandenburg has imagined a new project, inspired by theatre, and her conventions. Exploring the notion of ritual, understood as an opportunity to explore the relationship between the individual and the group, the artist invites the public to participate in an immersive experience, rethinking the themes, shapes and patterns that shape her practice—movement, scene, color, music, textiles, etc. The show includes installations, sculptures, performances and video works that converse between natural world and human activities, inside and outside, fiction and reality.
