Women in Abstraction

Open at the Centre Georges Pompidou through August 23 is “Women in Abstraction,” highlighting women artists whose work helped shape the history of abstraction, and whose practices may have been overlooked. Featuring more than 500 works by 106 artists like Florence Henri, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, Wook-kyung Choi, Howardena Pindell, Hilma Af Klint, Joan Mitchell, and Vera Pagava, the presentation includes over 500 works dating from the 1860s until the 1980s.
