For her fall/winter 2017 collection, designer Rosetta Getty collaborated with artist Alicja Kwade. “I was captivated when I first saw Kwade’s work at The Boros Bunker in Berlin,” said Getty. “Her oeuvre incorporates everyday objects in ways that make us question reality. She also plays with mirrors, which compelled me to explore the idea of reflection in my collection.”
Kwade’s installation provided the perfect setting for the fall season made up of sumptuous textures like chenille, lurex double-knit, and coated eel. Looks felt fluid, with long silhouettes and slinky fabrics. Voluminous, super-long pants were paired with oversized knits and turtlenecks, and backless dresses offered up the ultimate effortless elegant impression.
