Belstaff spring/summer 15

Fearless & Feminine Sixties At Belstaff

At London Fashion Week for their spring/summer 2015 collection, the design team at Belstaff decided to broaden their offerings for a full-fledged collection consisting of more than just their coveted and notable leather biker jackets. Intended for the contemporary woman, and offering and homage to the legendary Ace Cafe and the fearless women who were regulars of the space in the sixties, we have an array of wearable goodies on our hands.

Outerwear pieces have clean, sharp lines and are accented in a heavy black stripe at the lapel and wrists. Mod silhouettes are finished in monochromatic hues on v-neck or boxy sheaths, blouses, and silk trousers. Leather makes its usual appearance on the well-known, yet streamlined biker jacket, and zipper accented miniskirts. Trench coats are beautifully executed with straighter lines, and suede jackets are fun with sixties inspired fringe. Touches of hardware from zippers to large snaps and built-in belts are a lovely and obvious addition, not at all overbearing on otherwise simple and clean separates. We are excited by Belstaff’s collection expansion, delivering delightful pieces as if the brand has been doing this all along.
