Last Sunday, during New York Fashion Week, the chilly, 1970s vibes of the snowy Alps were awakened in the Porsche Design fall/winter 2014-15 collection. Looks were edgy and modern with accents of frosty metallics, magnetic closures, and lots and lots of leather.
Strong lines and shapes created looks of perfect stature over the body with glazed surfaces and dusty textures, (calling to mind newly fallen snow) on each garment. Accents maintained a linear feel, an unchanging sleekness of retro proportions, projecting a feel of icicles and snowflakes, with the color coding of the seventies.
