For this edition of Friday Fête, we’re sharing details from events hosted by Burberry, the New York Academy of Art, Casablanca, and more.
On Tuesday in Los Angeles, Casablanca hosted an intimate dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel to celebrate its pop-up. For the Parisian fashion house’s temporary shop, available through May 3, guests can explore items just in time for Coachella—like MAXFIELD goodies, as well as the brand’s collaboration with Erewhon Market.
Also in Los Angeles, but on Wednesday evening, Burberry and its Chief Creative Officer, Riccardo Tisci, hosted an event to celebrate the Lola bag— a renowned staple for the brand. The event was located at a private residence in West Hollywood, complemented by a dance floor and indoor and outdoor lounges. The space was set in decorum with Burberry’s signature beige hue with live DJ sets by American Dance Ghosts, Br0nz3_G0dd3ss, Drew Byrd, LSDXOXO, and Tygapaw.
After a two-year hiatus, the New York Academy of Art hosted its Tribeca Ball on Tuesday in New York. A-listers—including Brooke Shields, Naomi Watts, Helena Christensen, William Abadie, KAWS, Futura, and more— reunited at the downtown location to celebrate the night’s honoree, Kenny Scharf. In tune with the bubbly evening, guests were greeted by stilt walkers pouring Champagne Bollinger’s Special Cuvée from magnum-sized bottles.
And on Thursday, Vacheron Constantin hosted an exhibition soiree of watches and artworks by Melissa McGill named “The Anatomy of Beauty.” Celebrating three centuries of watchmaking with chronological timepieces from the house’s private collection, the display spanned creations from 1822 to today.
