Evolving from a background in photography, Eve Fowler’s “Just Seated Beside The Meaning” unites language and art, creating a suite of works across mediums like neon, paint, and vinyl. In her practice, the Los Angeles-based artist focuses on the power of words, language, and cultural bias in the context of gender politics and queerness, often expanding to include creations like films, installations, and sound pieces. Fowler has been featured in past projects like LAND’s “The Manifest Destiny Billboard Project,” and is the author Anyone Telling Anything Is Telling That Thing and Hustlers.
