NADA Miami’s Fresh Fair Concept

The 18th edition of the New Art Dealers Alliance’s (NADA) Miami fair launched on December 1 with a fresh format, which will remain open through December 5. A total of 97 galleries from 44 cities will debut presentations both online and in person, accompanied by a virtual program of talks, readings, and performances.

This year, residents of the Bay Area, Brussels, Chicago, Detroit, Lima, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Riga, Tokyo, Toronto, and Warsaw will be able to experience coordinated exhibitions in-person, throughout their cities, in addition to programming accessible via virtual viewing room and live in Miami—including shows at spaces like Satoko Oe Contemporary, Tokyo, LETO in Warsaw, Riga’s 427, Susan Inglett Gallery and Assembly Room in New York, Simone DeSousa Gallery, Detroit, and Toronto’s Franz Kaka

Within the online viewing rooms, fairgoers in all locations can expect to find presentations like Soft Opening’s show of works by Tenant of Culture, Gina Fischli, and Nevine Mahmoud, paintings by Leo Mock at M+B, a show of Akira Ikezoe and Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa from Proyectos Ultravioleta, and Galerie Derouillon’s solo exhibition of Vojtech Kovarik, as well as presentations by names like MOTHER GALLERY, Reyes Finn, LaMontagne Gallery, Kim?, COOPER COLE, and Night Gallery, Los Angeles

Additional upcoming programming includes a conversation with Kahlil Robert Irving and Dr. Maya Stovall’s discussion on the launch of her book Liquor Store Theatre, happening this evening;  Veronica Bruce and Karoline Bakken Lund’s performance entitled “The Tomb” and a talk with the artist Lotte Andersen tomorrow; and on Saturday, a conversation entitled “I’ll Make You Sorry: The Importance of Protest” and a talk with Baseera Khan.
