“Picasso and the comics” is the first exhibition dedicated to the exchanges and crossed appropriations between Picasso’s work and his passion for comics books. The exhibition introduces the “Picasso phenomenon” in comics by highlighting the parallel presence of the artist and his works in creations from the 20th century to today. Viewers will also experience more monumental and contemporary forms of comic strips, such as mural frescos and installations on paper and will have access to works by Edgar P. Jacobs, Sergio García Sánchez, François Olislaeger, and many others, confirming the influence Picasso has on contemporary comic books.
