Reinhard Ziegler: On Earth, As it is In Heaven

Dallas based artist Reinhard Ziegler’s ninth solo exhibition is currently on view at Conduit Gallery. For his show, the artists used his camera to comment on the beauty of the central California coast and produced a series of 16 archival prints on paper. The central California coast—favorite subject for some of the most prominent landscape photographers—offers sun-colored rocks, sprawling vegetation and the roaring applause of the ocean against the shore. The visual portals so central to these works render in various states, some natural while others appear to be more enigmatic. In either ways, they are conceived as starting points to fresh ways of considering our relationship with Heaven and Earth.
