As part of its “Siembra” series, kurimanzutto has invited Salón Silicón gallery to create an exhibition in three parts, centered around one theme—”SEX.” On view through October 9, the first show of the trinity, “SEXplay,” expresses thoughts on topics like desire, wanting to connect with others, fetishes, roleplay, playfulness, and more. In the second, part, “SEXwork,” the gallery will explore ideas of power, capitalism, disposable bodies, activism, and violence against sex work from October 17—November 20. And from November 28—December 19, Salón Silicón’s “SEXtrauma” will offer a dialogue on wanting to be loved, disappointment by romantic love, sickness, repression, aging, and shame in relation to eroticism.
