Debuting their fall/winter 2014-15 collection for Milan Fashion Week, Trussardi delivered a number of pieces that were reminiscent of the early nineties for the masses. A bit of grunge-meets-office-hours, we found primarily black and white tones saturating a collection of mostly loosely pleated trousers, tapered at the ankle and paired with cowlneck sweaters and sharp collared blouses.
A-line knee length and long skirts with either an asymmetrical side-slit or buttons up the front, printed in contemporary, tribal patterns. Completing the collection were metallic jumpsuits that came off more as sophisticated and cool onesies, along with leather trousers, mermaid skirts, and cocktail dresses.
An array of fine textiles are used in Trussardi’s latest collection, from silk and tweed, to wool, leather, a touch of metallics, and sweater knits. The chic, yet ultra-relaxed aspect of this collection really satisfies the nineties nostalgia in us.
