Spanish artist Ignasi Monreal will bring to life Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection through a series of Art Walls in New York and Milan. Monreal first collaborated with the fashion house on its December 2017 Gift Giving campaign.
Images of women in Gucci eyewear are given Monreal’s surrealist treatment for the Art Wall in New York—taking up 760-square meters on Lafayette Street in SoHo.
In Milan, in Largo la Foppa, the artist found inspiration in Jan van Eyck’s The Arnolfini Portrait (1434) and Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights (1490-1500).
