Tod’s showcased the extensive renovation of its Madison Avenue flagship boutique and the location’s artisan customization services with a cocktail reception and dinner hosted by President and CEO Diego Della Valle, Vice President Andrea Della Valle, and Uma Thurman. The event gathered icons from the worlds of fashion, music, film, philanthropy, art, and business, including notable guests like Adrien Brody, Elizabeth Hurley, and Renee Elise Goldsberry.
An Open Concept Accented with Sleek Décor
The space’s open concept exudes sophistication with its sleek and linear décor. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a striking floor-to-ceiling rosewood bookcase-style display, serving as a stunning backdrop for a magnificent travertine table designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1971. Throughout the store, seating areas beckon with vintage armchairs by Corrado Corradi dell’Acqua and sofas reinterpreted in Tod’s signature Vachetta leather and fabric.
White travertine floors, 14-feet-tall windows, walls covered with Vachetta leather, and panels of Pietra Grigia di Vicenza stone come together to create the perfect venue for demonstrating the brand’s meticulous Italian craftsmanship. The Madison Avenue boutique hosts the exclusive customization service My Di Bag, which allows clients to personalize the iconic Di bag with a monogram or special lettering in an assortment of colors.
A Live Demonstration of Artisan Leatherwork
This quintessential essence of artisanship took center stage during the cocktail reception. Guests were treated to a firsthand glimpse into the artistry behind the iconic Di bag and the Gommino driving loafer with a demonstration by one of their skilled artisans. Following the cocktail reception, guests forayed to The Mark Restaurant at The Mark Hotel for an intimate dinner. The memorable evening of glamour and celebration culminated in a tailored fine dining experience, where guests enjoyed a specially curated menu.
