Last Wednesday at Gucci’s Wooster Street location in New York, the brand debuted its new Ultrapace sneaker with a lively summer cocktail, hosted in partnership with GARAGE magazine. In commemoration of the release, the house invited four students of NYU Tisch—Mary Evangelista, Pepi Ginsberg, Madeline Lashner, and Sebastien Sdaigui—to create short films offering their own creative vision of the shoe, each playing on loop in the screening room throughout the evening.
Attending the party was GARAGE’s fashion director, Selby Drummond, Quil Lemons, Adam Eli, and Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, able to preview the new shoe while enjoying a set by DJ Bebe and playful party snacks like hotdogs, pretzels, and ice cream.

First introduced during Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2019 runway show, the Ultrapace sneaker immediately caught the eye of Gucci lovers and fashion gurus alike with its 1980s-inspired aesthetic. In color options like multi-tone silver, gray, lavender and orange, and more, the shoe is currently available exclusively in stores at Gucci Wooster, Las Vegas Crystals, Beverly Hills, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, and Bal Harbour, and will be introduced at all Gucci locations the first week of September.
